RIO RANCHO

Rio Rancho South boasts some of the older established neighborhoods with larger lots. Residents here are located near intel and within minutes of Cottonwood Mall. Most recently this area has seen significant development in the master planned community of Cabezon. This area is located primarily between Southern and Northern Boulevards. It was one of the first areas to be developed in Rio Rancho and boasts its own shopping, country club, and golf courses. Neighborhoods such as Corrales Heights and High Resort offer established communities and larger lots. But the recently opened development of Loma Colorado area near Rio Rancho High School will offer buyers fabulous opportunities for newly built homes. Northeast Rio Rancho is home to the new master planned Rio Rancho City Center, featuring the Santa Ana Star Arena. Future additions to the City Center include UNM West, UNM Sandoval Regional Hospital and the newest area high school. This area anticipates significant development and is attracting many new residents. A wide variety of housing opportunities are available including custom homes on large lots, Riversedge I/II/III an older more established neighborhood with ranch style homes, and Enchanted Hills a neighborhood featuring newer homes. Located just west of the new City Center development, Northwest Rio Rancho features the Northern Meadows and Mariposa developments. Northern Meadows offers a wide variety of older and newer homes. Many affordable alternatives are available in both existing established areas and recently built developments. Mariposa is the anticipated master planned community of luxury homes that is being developed near the northern edge of Rio Rancho just south of 550 and Under Blvd. No housing sales information is available on Mariposa but builders are already offering beautiful new homes to the public. In addition to subdivisions, you can find many custom homes builders still building throughout this area.
