It’s Green Chile Season! Join Us for the 8th Annual Client Appreciation Chile Roast & Cook-Off

There’s no better time of year in New Mexico than green chile season, and we’re celebrating with one of our favorite traditions!

The Southwest Life Real Estate Group’s 8th Annual Client Appreciation Chile Roast & Cook-Off is happening Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2–5 PM at Mariposa Basin Park.

This is our biggest party of the year and our favorite way to say thank you to the amazing clients, friends, family, and community members who have supported us throughout the years. Whether you come to compete, eat, grab some fresh-roasted chile, or simply hang out with us, you’re invited!

🌶️ Roast, Eat & Compete
The Green Chile Roast & Cook-Off is a celebration of everything we love about New Mexico: great food, local traditions, and good people coming together.

Guests can enjoy fresh-roasted green chile, with a bag to take home, plus green chile burgers and hot dogs straight off the grill. There will also be drinks, live music, and family-friendly fun throughout the afternoon. And for those who think they have a winning recipe, it’s time to bring your best dish!

🍽️ Best Main Dish
🍽️ Best Side Dish
🍽️ Best Dessert
🍽️ Best Green Chile Stew

And, of course, there’s the ultimate prize: 🏆 Grand Champion for Best Dish Overall

Have a family recipe you swear is the best? A creative green chile dessert? A stew that always disappears first? This is your chance to put it to the test!

Important for cooks: Your dish must be at the event by 2:30 PM sharp to be judged. Late entries cannot be accepted.

You don’t have to enter the competition to enjoy the party! Even if you can only stop by for a few minutes, we’d love to see you. Swing by, say hello, grab your chile, and enjoy the festivities before heading to your next stop.
